From the Ground Up
Hi there! My name is Rebekah Swartz. I grew up on a small family farm in Basehor, KS, showing animals in 4-H from an early age. At around 7 years old I attended my first 4-H horse day camp, and that was it. I got hooked pretty quick! At 16 I bought my first horse, and my training journey began. I went on to attend Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture, earning my Associates in Equine Industry Management, where I immersed myself in diverse training methods and competed at the collegiate level in ranch horse versatility.
Since founding Swartz Performance Horses in 2019, I have built a lesson program from the ground up, successfully started and sold multiple horses, worked with professional clinicians, and taken on training clients in the western performance and ranch horse world. My husband Jeff and our daughter Paisley have been right here alongside me every step of the way, and this business is as much about faith and family as it is about horses. ABOUT SWARTZ PERFORMANCE HORSES
At SPH our main goal is to help you communicate and work with your horse. We believe that a horse shouldn't be tailored to a training program, but the training program tailored to the individual needs of that horse.
We don't have a 60-90 day program that doesn't include the owner. Each session involves the owner/rider for the purpose of future success in any direction you decide to go. Whether it is giving your newly started colt a job or fine tuning and taking your seasoned show horse to the next level; we will listen to your needs.

Rebekah is the lead trainer and instructor at Swartz Performance Horses. With years of hands-on experience in the Western show world, she combines practical horsemanship with a passion for developing confident riders and respectful, responsive horses.
Her training focuses on foundational skills, advanced riding mechanics, and helping riders of all ages succeed in the arena. Whether she’s working with a green horse or preparing a rider for the show pen, Rebekah brings focus, patience, and a proven approach.
