OUR STORY
From the Ground Up
Hi there! My name is Rebekah Swartz. I am from a small family farm in Basehor, KS. I grew up showing any and every animal in 4-H and absolutely loved it. At the young age of about 7, I can remember attending my first 4-H horse day camp. This is where I truly fell in love with horses. At 16 I bought my first horse, and from there my training journey began. Several years later I attended Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture and obtained my Associates in Equine Industry Management. This allowed me to fully immerse myself in different training styles, a variety of different horses and 2 years of showing at the collegiate level in the ranch horse versatility world. Today I strive to grow Swartz Performance Horses with support from my husband, Jeff.
ABOUT SWARTZ PERFORMANCE HORSES
At SPH our main goal is to help you communicate and work with your horse. We believe that a horse shouldn't be tailored to a training program, but the training program tailored to the individual needs of that horse.
We don't have a 60-90 day program that doesn't include the owner. Each session involves the owner/rider for the purpose of future success in any direction you decide to go. Whether it is giving your newly started colt a job or fine tuning and taking your seasoned show horse to the next level; we will listen to your needs.
Educating Today for Better Horseman Tomorrow
I am a strong believer that education is the key to success. The want to better yourself and keep an open mind to new possibilities is crucial in the growing process. Over the years I have adapted my training techniques to reflect this belief and I am still evolving to this day. I strive to share what I've learned with others who want to start their horsemanship journey.
